Laurie will listen to you, hear you, and curate an individualized plan for you with recommendations that fit your budget, goals, and lifestyle. Plans can consist of yoga, meditation, movement, mindfulness, and intuitive practices depending on your needs.
Yoga
Yoga has been used for centuries as a way to achieve wholeness and balance. Laurie draws from ancient yogic wisdom and modern interpretation of asana to bring sustainable health and fitness to her clients. Meetings are highly personalized so that her clients' needs are met safely and effectively. Laurie teaches both private and group classes in-person at Yoga Baum in Louisville, KY or virtually.
Meditation
Meditation is the practice of stilling the mind. It’s in this stillness that we get to know ourselves. We learn the tendencies of our thoughts. We learn to tame our reactions. Meditation can be an intimidating practice, but Laurie strives to make this practice accessible to everyone. Through guided sessions, you will learn to focus your mind on meditative tasks, and eventually you will learn to be still in body and mind. Meditation has a calming effect on the nervous system, and, with training, you can learn to activate this calming effect on command.
Mindfulness
Mindfulness is a way of life. It’s a way of connecting with the present and recognizing that it’s possible to find contentment right now. Through daily practices and reminders, you can reduce your stress, and even understand what triggers your stress response. Once you understand what is causing your dis-ease, you can learn to counteract it by activating your relaxation response.
Intuitive Reflection or Reading
Do you have an interest in exploring your intuition? Do you want to see what your gut has been trying to tell you this whole time? Learn how to unlock your inner wisdom through intuitive reflection.
